Draco stood on the front line of the battle, his wand aimed perfectly towards Hermione Granger’s heart. Hermione looked at him with empty eyes, daring him to kill her. Her last words stung. Go ahead, kill me. Serve your purpose and rid this world of yet another mudblood.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to end. He shouldn’t be standing here, face to face in combat with the only person he has grown to care for. Seconds ticked. Hermione grew impatient; she was ready to run for it.
Draco shut his eyes tightly, his other hand brushing the cold metal inside his pocket. I have to make it right, he thought. I have to fix this. Suddenly, he turned around and began sprinting away from Hermione, turning the hourglass of the time turner.
“I want none of this! Take me back to before this war came crashing down on us.”
